Finals are officially over!

I am so excited to be done with them but I did rather poorly on my statistics test. Hopefully it will be enough for me to pass with a C so I don’t have to retake it.
So, onward with the new direction toward a new semester.

As well as a new…diet? More like a lifestyle I guess. But I had started the PINK Method many weeks ago and was so excited when I lost 10lbs in the first two weeks. I also have since veered dramatically off course. So many things keep getting in the way and I just can’t seem to stay focused.
My new direction for that has to do with a wall and a caveman.

In my room one of my walls is painted, one has a closet on it, the other a window and some bookcases. The last wall has a green Uppercase Living dandelion decal with little tufts flying toward my closet. And, aside from the dandelion, I feel it is extremely plain. For my birthday, my manager/friend/office buddy gave me an autographed picture of Jenna McDougall from Tonight Alive, an autographed picture of Demi Lovato, and an autographed picture of Paramore because she is that amazing. So those have all made their home at the top of my wall. The rest of it is going to be like a vision board only BIGGER. So far I have a few quotes up there about pushing. There will be pictures of places that I want to live in the next couple of years like Chicago, Boston, Seattle, as well as places I would like to visit like New Zealand, New York, Barcelona. There will also be pictures of celebrities for a little extra push. I am waiting on some string light that I ordered on the internet and then I’ll be putting it all together. I’m very excited and will definitely post a picture when it is done. :)

As for the caveman, I donot like vegetables at all. I don’t know how to cook them, how to pick them, none of that. So when I started PINK Method I was a bit nervous about finding the right recipes but figured they’d have a few options. On the online community there are a few but they are very hard to change up and there are virtually no actual meal recipes in the book which makes me a bit upset. So, I had heard of the Paleo diet a few times before and after reading up on it some more, it was essentially what with PINK peeps were trying to do. I found a website that had a 6 week start guide as an ebook that I am going to be implementing starting Sunday. Even before I started PINK I felt intimidated. But, it is more of a challenge than an obstacle. While I would like to look good in bikini on the beach in Barcelona (here’s hoping), I also want to live a long, healthy life. I want to set an example for my future children and make it so they don’t have to worry about their weight when they get older. Not saying that my weight problem was caused by my parents entirely, I am an adult and have been for a few years, but they contributed when I was younger by not making me eat the good foods that come from the produce section at the grocery store.

This is getting a bit long, so I’ll wrap it up but along with this new commitment to Paleo I will commit to posting my weekly foods here along with recipes. I can be a picky eater, too, so reviews will probably be in tow. :)

Is there anyone out there who started Paleo and has never looked back?
